 The webpage “AIR JET MACHINES” from (Toyota textile machinery, inc. n.d.) introduces the functions and features of their latest air jet loom, the JAT910. The loom is able to weave fabrics with high efficiency and optimize this procedure by using the different functions under the main system control with the control panel. Aside from the functions, the loom has lots of features. The features consist of the new “I-sensor” weft insertion system, an evolved stop mark prevention system that eliminates stop mark defects with enhanced overall productivity and reliability, the advanced system control (FACT-plus) and high versatility. According to a related webpage “Toyota Industries Corporation Releases the New JAT910 Air-Jet Loom” (2022), the weft system of the JAT910 loom is the “The world’s first weft sensing technology that detects weft insertion timing.”. After detection, the system will then provide feedback on adjustments of insertion timing to boost productivity. Besides the weft system, Toyota textile machinery(n.d.) states that with the new control CPU implemented into the stop mark system, it can now provide synchronous controls of various systems to prevent various cases of stop mark defects and boost efficiency. Furthermore, the “FACT-plus” system, an upgrade system of “FACT” implements new features including, Sensing, Pressure Control, Instruction of next machine to work on and Stop Analysis which allow further improvements “in efficiency and optimization of factory’s operation.” (Toyota industries corporation & Toyota textile machinery, n.d.). Furthermore, as mentioned in the webpage (Toyota textile machinery, n.d.), the loom contains many components such as the Air gripper system (AGS), Multi-tandem Nozzles, Flexible Insertion System (FIS) and more. All these components allow the loom to achieve diversity in weaving options to satisfy customer’s requirements. Through multiple upgrades, the JAT910 has significant improvements over its immediate predecessor, JAT810 in environmental performance, efficiency and production. These are the key factors for fulfilling customer fabric demands in the globalized world.
